About Us

Books to Treasure is a niche publisher owned and run by Adrianne Fitzpatrick, initially UK based, but now working from Brisbane, Australia. Since 2012, Books to Treasure has published over 100 books either in print or for Kindle and other digital devices, specialising in classic children’s books and school stories. While most of the books are reproductions of older books for collectors of the school story genre, some new books have also been published in previous years, including works by Helen Barber, Teresa Bassett, Philip S Davies and Marianne de Pierres.

In the transition from the UK to Australia, Books to Treasure discontinued print editions, but we are pleased to be again offering print versions of some titles.

Readers will be aware that some older books contain language or attitudes that are incompatible with modern sensibilities, but we have made it our policy not to edit or update them. Wherever possible, books are reproduced from the first editions, but these are not always easy to source. When no first edition is available, we do our best to avoid edited or abridged editions. We try to use first edition dustwrappers or boards (particularly where no dustwrapper was issued), but again, this is not always possible, and we endeavour to remain true to the book and era in producing an alternative version.

Our current authors include Angela Brazil, Joan Butler-Joyce, E M Channon, Mrs Henry Clarke, E E Cowper, D C Daking (Elsie J Oxenham interest), Sarah Doudney, Evelyn Everett-Green, E L Haverfield, Raymond Jacberns, Bessie Marchant, Jane Paterson Milne, Dorothea Moore, Winifred Norling, Evelyn Smith, Ethel Talbot, Lilian F Wevill, Theodora Wilson Wilson and May Wynne.

Apart from these aforementioned authors, we do occasionally publish new titles in the genre, such as the Mollie books by Helen Barber. And even more occasionally, there are (and will be) those by Adrianne Fitzpatrick herself, whose special interest is fantasy—thus completely outside the genre of our normal publishing!

All of our Kindle books are available for purchase from Amazon; a small number of them are also available with a Kindle Unlimited subscription. All books except those enrolled in KU are also available directly from the Books to Treasure website.
